According to Autocar, Nissan is preparing the revised version of the Nissan 350Z. It is rumored that the revised 350Z will become a 370Z because it will be powered by the same 3.7-liter engine as the Infinity G37. With the introduction of the G37 it was only a matter of time before Nissan changed the 350Z’s motor, because the G and the Z have the same engine. The announcement of this super-car is good news for fans all over the world. The Nissan 370Z is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this October, so we will have to wait until then to see this extraordinary Nissan car.

2007 has been, and continues to be, a busy busy year for Nissan. Not only will Nissan launch around 10 new models around the world, but the famous car maker also has interesting surprises up it’s sleeve for car shows like Tokyo, New York and many others. In the long list of models that were or are going to be introduced to the public this year, the “big bad” Titan and Armada represent the truck/utility members of the Nissan family.

These two big vehicles have ancestors, 2003 and 2004 models. So Nissan are waisting no time to remake good cars, and the new Titan and new Armada are both getting nice additions. So after only four or so years, updates are being made, solid proof that Nissan is aiming high for the following years.

Titan, the 2008 Nissan remake of the only four year-old car, has a newly designed front, that gives the car a massive appereance. The Titan also gets new wheels, and bigger front brakes for better fast stops, 13.8 inches instead of the 12.6 ones the old model had. Maximum payload is also improved, with an extra 500 pounds, now the total is 2063 pounds. The new Titan also hasa a very appealing option, a longer wheelbase that allows for longer truck beds. Quite useful is also the PRO-4X addons package, that includes lots of off-road equipment and more sporty exterior and interior design. Nissan’s 5.7-liter V8 engine empowers the 2008 Titan, with total horsepower of 317, and torque of 385-lb-ft. A big engine for a pretty big car.Â

The Armada has major changes of the interior, and also some modifications on the exterior. Nissan has tried to give the car it’s unique personality, as the first model was seen be many just a copy of the Titan. Notable is the design of the bolting fascia parts directly to the body, not like the first Armada model. Interior design is now unique, panel and steering wheel are created specially for the Armada, not taken from the Titan model.

Nissan also claims to have made improvement concerning stability, control, noise for both the Titan and Armada. Titan has prices starting from $24,445, and goes up to around $38,000. Armada from $35,995 to $45,000.

2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S, a little sporty and quite cheap

The 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S is supposed to be a sports car, or at least that’s what the team at Nissan likes to think. They even categorized the 2008 Altima Coupe along with the Ford Mustang…

Being based on the Altima sedan platform, the 2008 Coupe is smaller, lighter, having 7.1 inches less in overall length and 2.5 inches less in height. Also, the wheelbase spreads further to the corners, and is 4.0-inch shorter. Hood remains the same as on the Altima sedan, while grille and headlights share sport-like aspect.

The engine that powers the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S is a 2.5-liter four, with a total of 75 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, doing from 0 to 60 mph 8.0 sec. Not too much, yet not that bad, and just enough for a 3.000 lb (curb weight) car. Transmission is six-speed manual. Nissan also has a second, more powerful version, with a 3.5-liter, 270-hp V6 and CVT. However, this wasn’t seen well by reviewers so far..

The setbacks of this Altima Coupe are soft suspension, due mostly to the multilink rear with antiroll bars, and that is bad news for a sports car. Front tires are all-season, that did poorly in test.

Interior however is a fine improvement, and a big step ahead for Nissan. Support and comfort are the top qualities, sport seats with heavy support are really good in a car like the Altima coupe. Layout is not much different from the sedan model, but in the Altima coupe that panel is a lot more accessible and attractive in the same time.

Cost: only $21,115. Considering also the nice Boss sound system, and that fuel consumption is under 27 mph, the Nissan Altima Coupe will be very desired when it comes out this summer.

A real sports car, the Nissan 350Z remains affordable. The model was launched in 2002, with another remake is planned in late 2009. The recent engine remake, though much rumored, brings little improvement.

Even if Nissan said proudly that the powerplant was “over 80 percent new or revised”, only 6 hp are added, to a total of 306. Torque is the same value of 286 lb-ft, only spread over a wider band. So what has Nissan brought new ? The V6 engine of the 350Z has a new block, cylinder heads, connecting rods, pistons and intake. The intake and exhaust cams are now both much straighter, for better and smoother airflow.

However, most of the additions to the 350Z bring not that much engine boost as consumption issues, as that seems to be priority number one for car producers nowadays. So the 350Z now eats only less by 1 mpg in city (meaning 20 mpg) and 2 mpg on the highway (27 mpg), this being the manual transmission model. The automatic goes up to 19 mpg city and 26 highway. Tires are now Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, as the former models on the previous Z aroused a complaint or two. Wheels remain 18-inch, only the Touring Coupe model benefits from 19-inch in the back. Speed is not extraordinary, for a sports car, still pretty fast, the 350Z going to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

The Nissan 350Z is still a nice sports car, a pleasant experience and quite good-looking, with a nice interior and panel, as you can see for yourself in the photos. Most of all, the price is to be appreciated, the new Z model can be purchased for only $28,515.

A great new sports car announced by Nissan, the 2007 Skyline GT-R. But the GT-R prototype is far away from the production model, having almost no interiors. Until now, Nissan has provided no details on the suspension, powertrain and other important technical details, it seems to be a surprise or even they don`t know what will come out of this prototype.

The production car is announced to be presented at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show and it will surely be the greatest Nissan in the last few years. The car’s design is very aerodynamic and will surely please everyone, especially speed lovers. The car will have a twin turbo V6 engine with about 3.8 liters, producing 400-500 hp. This can be only great news that the Skyline GT-R will be a very powerful one.
