The design is unique to Lincoln and doesn’t really borrow from any other brands of the moment. One of the advantages of this grille design is the space between the two halves that allows the Lincoln logo to stand on it’s own without being lost in the chrome.
Lincoln-exclusive fuel-efficient 3.7-liter V-6 and all-wheel drive provide smooth driving. It is the first vehicle to offer Ford’s new gasoline TDI engine technology which provides the power and torque of a V-8 engine with the fuel efficiency of a V-6.

Class-leading convenience features include SYNC™ voice-activated, hands-free in-car communications, EasyFuel™ capless fuel filling, SIRIUS Travel Link™, voice-activated navigation.
EasyFuel™ Capless Fuel-Filler System is a customer convenience that helps reduce evaporative emissions that create smog and global warming.
Adaptive Cruise Control allows the driver to set the car’s speed and maintain that speed without using the accelerator pedal. The radar-based system also can monitor the vehicle in front and adjust the speed to keep it a safe distance behind the lead vehicle.

Intelligent Access with Push Button allows the driver to enter the and start the engine without using a key. Drivers simply carry the special fob as they approach the vehicle, touch the keyless entry pad on the B-Pillar, open the door and with the brake pedal engaged, start the engine by pushing a button.
Adaptive Headlamps with Automatic High Beams and Standard High-Intensity Discharge lamps, which enhance nighttime visibility by illuminating more of the road.
Rearview Camera System is mounted beneath the Lincoln Star and activated when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, giving the driver a view of what’s behind the vehicle. The system works in conjunction with the vehicle’s reverse sensing system and uses the navigation screen as a display.
Modern luxury carries through inside, as well. Space is abundant, with a class-leading interior package.
With the MKS, Lincoln hopes to attract loyal customers from the days of the Continental and LS. They also expect the MKS to have conquest sales ten percentage points higher than current models. Right now about 33 percent of Lincoln buyers are coming from other brands, and the brand expects that number to be 43 percent for this car.
“Every element of this luxury sedan reflects the culture of Lincoln – from its well-proportioned athleticism to the design cues we have painstakingly developed, modernizing the best elements over time”.( Peter Horbury, executive director of Design for The Americas.)

This fabulous 420-hp, 4.2-liter direct-injection V-8 car is smooth and has a broad torque curve. It weighs 4100 pounds (120 pounds more than the sedan) and should sprint to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds, 0.2 second slower and it costs 85,000 dollars.
The convertible has aggressive good looks as well as diagonally connected shock absorbers that work extremely well. This shock arrangement produces a forgiving ride along with buttoned-down responses. However, the relaxed ride does come with some quivers and shivers felt through the steering wheel and chassis that are much more pronounced than those in the BMW 3 series.

Through twisty mountain roads, the RS 4 proves to be a worthy dance partner with oodles of grip, goof-proof handling that’s more neutral than expected for a car that carries almost 60 percent of its weight over the front wheels, strong brakes and pedals set up for heel-and-toeing. It’s true it can’t match the tenacious turn-in of Audi’s fabulous R8, which was also on hand for back-road and on-track abuse, but no one expected it to.
The Cabriolet also features 35-series tires, 19-inch wheels and larger 14.4-inch front and 12.8-inch brake rotors, a six-speed manual transmission, and Quattro all-wheel drive.
Audi claims it has no intention of switching to a folding hardtop convertible, as have many entries in the premium segment.
The steering of any RS4 is a revelation. The RS4s helm is better weighted and makes the car easier to place through fast corners.
The slatted front bumper and polished metal windscreen surround help you identify it from other models in the range. Inside, you’ll find the usual high-quality trim, while on the centre console is a starter button for the car’s stand-out feature – its engine. The RS4 convertible is probably pitched towards a slightly more relaxed crowd.

Unveiled at October’s Tokyo motor show, the STI has morphed from a bellicose little four-door into a five-door hatchback. A new variable-valve-timing system and new IHI turbos give the output of the STI’s turbocharged and intercooled flat-four engines.

Subaru sources declined to reveal just how big the bump will be but were willing to admit to “less than 310 horsepower” and a “little less than 300 pound-feet”. The flat-four propels a hatchback that’s slightly bigger than its predecessor.

Expanded dimensions, plus comprehensive body-shell stiffening and extensive work in the area of sound deadening, yield higher curb weights. The new car won’t likely accelerate any quicker than the previous STI (0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds, the quarter-mile in 13.4 seconds).

The other part of the ride-and-quality equation is suspension tuning that’s distinctly softer. As before, the front is supported by struts, but there’s a new subframe-mounted multilink arrangement at the rear. The STI’s resistance to turn-in can be mitigated by the car’s sophisticated all-wheel-drive system, with a driver-programmable center differential and limited-slip diffs at both ends. New to the STI is Subaru’s gimmicky SI-Drive, which includes three different throttle-mapping modes.
The car has a six-speed manual transmission. Braking, with the same big-disc Brembo package is beyond reproach. For 2008, the WRX STi adds an engine immobilizer, a power-steering cooler and a new underbody cover. The newly installed dash board, center console, panel and an array of other features give an appealing look to the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi.

In addition to a security system with engine immobilizer and high-friction seat, the Subaru Impreza WRX STi receives the same updates as the regular WRX.
If your criterion when choosing a car is impressive performance, safety or comfort, the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi fits the bill.

The 304-hp direct-injection V-6 gets all the attention for now.
The 258-hp base engine is basically a carry-over from the previous-generation CTS, in which it was the optional V-6. A six of equal size to the direct-injection engine—3.6 liters with port fuel injection and variable valve timing
Down 46 horses and 20 pound-feet on the DI engine, the indirectly injected base mill still brings a hearty portion 253 pound-feet of torque. With the test gear strapped on, the six-speed automatic CTS managed a 7.0-second 0-to-60-mph.

From the driver’s seat, an extra 1.2 seconds in a full-throttle blast to 60 are glaringly obvious, but in more measured driving, the difference between the two engines is purely statistical. Both sound fantastic for V-6s, both pull hard all the way to their 7000-rpm redlines without noticeable straining.
The nicely weighted steering wheel responds to requests with the slightest of delays off-center, provides real feedback about what’s going on with the front end.
The CTS’ reworked exterior is certainly up to the challenge. The new model’s combination of refinement and muscularity kicks the competition in their collective crotch. While plagued with the same sky-high hemline and buffalo butt of the previous iteration, the new CTS benefits from two inches extra length at both ends.
The new 2008 Cadillac CTS wraps you in safety and technology. What’s more, with a host of CTS accessories, the car proves to be even more functional.

Experts in ergonomics agree that standard massaging lumbar front seats installed in Cadillac CTS help melt away the strain of the day or the miles. This system activates a continuous roller system, gently massaging your muscles in ten-minute cycles.
The car has front and rear ventilated disc brakes, ABS, traction control, front side-mounted airbags, front and rear head airbags, child safety locks, anti-theft alarm system, dusk sensing headlamps, front fog lights,
dual zone climate controls, front and rear reading lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather trim on shift knob and front and rear floor mats trunk light.

The new design shares a family look with Ford’s other cars and comes in four-door sedan and two-door coupe body styles.
The big news is a new Sync entertainment and communications system developed with Microsoft. It provides a hands-free link to cell phones and MP3 players through voice commands.
With 140 horsepower, the Focus has decent power for most needs. It has a standard five-speed manual transmission but you also have an optional four-speed automatic.
Safety features that come standard consist of dual-stage front airbags, torso-protecting, seat-mounted front side airbags, side airbags, tire pressure monitor and child seat.

The front end is dominated by a two-bar razor-like chrome grille that is flanked by headlights that follow the curve of the hood toward the windshield. The dashboard is dominated by a plastic silver inset that leads into the center console. This is surrounded by black plastic top and bottom. At the base of the center stack is a nice rubberized tray. This area is fairly important because it is where drivers will keep their phones and iPods when they use the Sync system. On top of the dash is cutout that displays trip computer, radio. The instrument panel has two gauges, the speedometer and tachometer and the fuel gauge and water temperature gauge. The front seats are comfortable, with plenty of head and leg room. Thanks to large mirrors and small rear pillars, the driver’s seat affords a good view to all corners.

The trunk is fairly large, the second row seats fold mostly flat to allow loading long, flat packages.
Standard equipment: AC, cd/mp3 player, split folding rear seat, tilt steering wheel, antitheft system, power windows, locks and mirrors, fog lamps, four-way adjustable driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, cruise control, Ford Sync system, sport suspension, all-season tires.
Optional: automatic transmission, heated front seats, antilock brakes with traction control, Sirius satellite radio, leather upholstery, Audiophile sound system.
The 2008 Ford Focus offers decent handling and miserly fuel economy. The Ford Sync system offers the latest in entertainment and hands-free communications and technology.

The latest Laguna appears for the first time at the Frankfurt auto show and is derived from the old car’s underpinnings. The car deals with uneven surfaces capably, and feels luxurious and refined.
In tune with the exceptional level of traveling comfort offered, New Laguna’s interior design creates an atmosphere of calm and serenity for all occupants aboard. From the driver’s seat, impressions are promising. The cabin is clearly and logically laid out, while the high-quality plastics are very impressive.
In the rear, fold-flat seats enhance space, as does the wide-opening hatchback rear.
In addition to the remote-controlled locking system, New Laguna offers a locking system via a button on the driver door handle. In the same way, the car is started by a simple press of a button on the dashboard.

The petrol range will be launched on the market gradually, starting with the dynamic, smooth and quiet 2.0 liter 16 valve petrol engine 140 hp. With good torque in low gears and a spirited drive in higher gears, with sound-dampening across the range of engine speeds, it offers enhanced driving pleasure. The fuel consumption of 7.9 litres per 100 km gives an acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. It offers the advantage of a maintenance-free distribution chain with a lifetime guarantee.
New Laguna has taken full advantage of Renault’s acclaimed expertise in the field of safety, both active and passive. It can boast the best braking performance of its category, particularly in the endurance test while braking when hot.
In order to recognise and react to impact twice as fast, it has a unique system comprising two sensors, implanted in the front door and centre pillar. A specific algorithm adapts the reaction time delay to the violence of the impact and sets off a new double-side airbag, with a double chamber and double pressure.
The Oil Control System permits longer distance intervals between oil changes.
With this car, Renault has made the commitment to be positioned in the Top 3 in terms of product and service quality. The company aims to attract a demanding clientele, thus taking the first step to repositioning Renault in the top sector of the market.

The 2008 Volkswagen Touareg is a luxury sport-utility with a blend of refinement and off-highway capability. It eschews a third row of seats for five-passenger space. Protected by a rigid structure and full suite of airbags and electronic safety systems, Touareg 2 is a genuinely capable four-wheel-drive and comes in three levels: 3.6 VR6 FSI , V8 FSI and V10 TDI Twin Turbo.

The 3.6 VR6 comes with dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, cruise control, alloy wheels, fog lamps, trip computer, heated power mirrors, front and rear park assist, rain-sensing wipers, 10-speaker audio system. The 4.2 FSI adds a 350-hp V8 engine, leather upholstery, bi-xenon curve-following headlights, 19-inch wheels and more sporting suspension calibration, power passenger seat, driver memory system, power folding auto-dimming outside mirrors, rear seat side sunshades. The V10 TDI comes with the twin-turbo diesel engine, larger brakes and adjustable air suspension with continuous damping control.

Options include a tow hitch, a rear differential lock package, four-zone climate control, keyless operation, rear view camera.

>Safety equipment includes ESP-plus stability control, ABSPlus brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist, tire-pressure monitors, hill descent assist. Electronic aids include updated antilock brakes that will form a chock in front of the tires on soft surfaces, meaning shorter stopping distances on mud, snow, sand, highway trails as the tires will absorb most of the impact. The six-speed automatic knows where the power lies and it quickly shifts to the appropriate gear.

The 112-inch wheelbase permits good occupant space and an overall length of less than 16 feet keeps the wheels near the corners. This creates a muscular stance and maintains the approach and departure angles and clearance necessary for real 4WD use.

Air suspension and the four-wheel-drive system are switched by rotary dials behind the shifter. The dominant tachometer and speedometer have flat faces with anti-reflective coating. The primary advantage of the air suspension is adjustable height, a 5.5-inch difference in six settings, four of which the driver controls. The suspension automatically lowers the Touareg one inch at 87 mph for better stability and aerodynamics, and another 0.4-inch when you reach 118 mph.

The 2008 Volkswagen Touareg 2 mixes trail-worthy ability and a feature-laden five-seat cabin into a compact package to find favor with outdoor adventurers. The array of engines and suspensions permit any buyer personality to design a Touareg they like, the better to appreciate everything you won’t notice in a short test-drive.

Drivers can now enjoy the new NitroDodge, whose name seems like a great big boy truck, and who is equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 petrol engine or a 2.8-litre diesel with 460Nm of torque. Though it gives smooth changes and the handling is a letdown, with a fair degree of body roll to contend with in corners, it competes alongside models including Hyundai Santa Fe, Nissan Pathfinder and Kia Sorento, with extremely competitive prices(the base diesel comes under £20.000).

Those how will own a Nitro should notice the difference between its solid and expensive exterior, and the cheap and brittle plastics from the interior, with dominating square lines, and an exceptionally shallow dash for a SUV; You can’t miss the pistol-grip handbrake, or the good headroom, but therear seats do not offer enough underthigh support. Moreover, the servicing costs are low, taking into consideration the diesel isn’t very economical.

The carbon-fiber masterpiece was inspired by the F-22 Raptor Jet,as the brand and design manager talks,Manfred Fitzgerald talks about of every team’s member involvement and creativity in order to soak up dynamic views of the jet design. The rear lights, which are carbon fiber with LeD inserts,or the carbon fiber struts across the top of the engine bay, with a transparent cover, will definetly keep people talking.

Though the Reventon ticks every box in the Murcielago’s options list ,like carbon ceramic brakes,forged-aluminium wheels with fiber inlays,no panels are shared with the LP640-only the side mirrors have been carried over from it. Fitzgerald claims that the Reventon is designed to go straight from sketches to CAD production, and not only a piece of design.

The quarter-scale model, allowed them to reduce production time tremendously, because it has been all virtual, and the higher cornering speeds than the LP640 are due to the aeronautics inspiration-arrowhead nose and visible carbon-fiber splitter that provided the car with more front downforce.

Equipped with a digital dash,it allows the driver to enjoy a digitized version of the traditional round, and while the bodywork will capture the attention of the overwealming majority,it is the instrument cluster(all aluminum) that lends the car more technical credibility9.

The rest of the interior is stylish, equipped with greenish Alcantara seats which follow the design of the sharp arrow idea,or nappa leather around the cabin, similar to that in the Gallardo Superleggera.

It is question whether the Reventon worths its million dollar price due to its comparison to the LP640,though its price is justified by pointing out the months of research and its different body and interior design, with the lefthand drive. The 20 Reventons have already been sold and are on the sales list among Bugatti Veyron,The Mercedes Benz CLK and Ferrari Fxx.
