<p>The Geneva Motor Show is all about premieres and other remarkable cars. The 78th edition of the renowned auto show didn&#8217;t make an exception. Here is the &#8220;Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermes&#8221; and if you thought that the previous model of Veyron was exclusive, than you probably won&#8217;t be too surprised by the $2.3 million price tag for the new Bugatti.The 8-liter 16W-cylinder engine produces 1001 HP at 6,000 rpm and  1250 Nm between 2200 and 5500 rpm, enough the boost the car from 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds. <p>On the occasion of the 78th Geneva Motor Show (from 6 to 16 March 2008), Bugatti and Hermès co-present the fruit of their partnership: the &#8220;Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès&#8221;, associating Bugatti&#8217;s technical performance with the expertise of Hermès and its craftsmen. In partner-ship with Hermès, designer Gabriele Pezzini has married the distinctive Hermès style to the legendary Bugatti Veyron 16.4, magnifying the car&#8217;s personality.</p>
<p>This remarkable car features an array of excep¬tional characteristics: the innovative alliance of a technologically advanced engine, deliver¬ing 1001 horsepower, with an understated yet uncompromising silhouette reflecting the high performance capacities of state-of-the-art engineering and design, and above all, the pleasure these inspire in every Bugatti owner.</p>
<p>The fascination exerted by this sports coupé, capable of reaching 407 km/h, is due in large part to its unique alliance of the very finest motor-racing technology with comfortable handling for everyday driving. The 16-cylinder &#8220;W&#8221; configuration engine is fed by four turbochargers and features 64 valves, generating 1001 horse¬power at 6000 rpm. The engine draws on its 8-litre displacement to deliver a maximum torque of 1250 Newton-metres between 2200 and 5500 rpm. With full-time all-wheel drive, the car&#8217;s phenomenal power produces breath-takingly dynamic handling, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.5 seconds. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 benefits from aero-nautical and aerospace technologies, making it the fastest production car ever made. The car also features a braking system designed to deliver unprecedented powers of deceleration, establish¬ing a new industry benchmark. The carbon-fibre discs provide brake pressure of up to 180 bars, combined with eight-piston monobloc callipers and titanium pistons fitted with fine steel heads and ceramic heat protectors. Apply the brakes at speeds above 200 km/h, and the rear wing acts as an airbrake, positioning itself at an angle of 113 degrees in less than 0.4 seconds, augmenting the Bugatti Veyron&#8217;s already impressive stopping power. The airbrake increases negative lift at the rear of the car to 300 kg, enhancing the braking torque on the rear axle. At 400 km/h, emergency braking will bring the sports car to a complete halt in less than 10 seconds.</p>
<p>This, the world&#8217;s most fascinating car, has pushed back the limits of physical engineering to offer a completely new sensation for driver and passenger alike. But it has also adopted a radically different stance to that of other sports cars: its features and finish are sure to impress the most demanding clientele. Hermès and designer Gabriele Pezzini have lavished attention on the interior and exterior of this exceptional car, to create the new Bugatti Veyron 16.4: the &#8220;Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès&#8221;</p>
<p>A harmonious design, inside and out</p>
<p>The official name of the highly exclusive Bugatti Veyron &#8220;Fbg par Hermès&#8221; refers to the historic Hermès headquarters on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, in the heart of Paris&#8217;s eighth arrondissement: the &#8220;Fbg&#8221; appellation evokes the house&#8217;s &#8220;faubourg&#8221; address.</p>
<p>With the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès, the exacting standards of Émile Hermès and Ettore Bugatti come together for the first time, in a exceptional collaboration: the culmination of their extreme attention to aesthetic and techno¬logical quality and performance.</p>
<p>Gabriele Pezzini has reinterpreted Bugatti&#8217;s tradi¬tional two-tone carriage work, fostering a fluid, harmonious transition between the car&#8217;s exterior and interior design. The colour of the hood extends to the interior of the cockpit, and re-emerges behind, at the level of the rear wing.<br />
As a tribute to the celebrated 1924 Bugatti Type 35, undoubtedly the most famous of all time, thanks to its many successes on the racetrack, the new Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès features eight-spoked wheels in polished aluminium, central butterfly wheel locks branded with the letter H, and air vents around the rims repro¬ducing the characteristic appearance of Hermès saddle-stitching. The horseshoe radiator grille, and the lateral ventilation grilles flanking it, are made from lightweight alloys with a design of interlocking H&#8217;s evoking the Hermès &#8220;signature&#8221;.<br />
A refined formal vocabulary</p>
<p>The inner surfaces of the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès have been designed and sheathed in bull calfskin by the Hermès workshops in Paris. The care and attention to detail observe an extremely refined, minimalist formal vocabulary, reflecting the tradition of the very first Bugattis and the fundamental design principles of the house of Hermès. The door handles echo the fluid forms of handles on Hermès travel bags and luggage. And the dashboard, traditionally finished in brushed aluminium, is here clad entirely in bull calfskin. Passengers aboard the Bugatti Veyron Fbg par Hermès will find a dashboard glove compartment designed to hold a selection of small travel accessories and a zipped Hermès wallet. Both seats are covered in two-toned bull calfskin, and the panel separating the cockpit from the central rear engine &#8211; traditionally made of carbon fibre &#8211; is covered in the same fine leather. The leather-lined trunk holds a specially-fitted &#8220;Toile H&#8221; and leather case, hand-made by craftsmen from the Hermès workshops.</p>
<p>This exceptional model &#8211; in toning colours of ebony and étoupe, or ebony and brick &#8211; is priced at 1.55 million euros (not including tax), available at the end of 2008.</p>

<p>SpeedART a tuning house has revealed some photos and informations about their modified Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The Cayenne Turbo has 500 HP stock, but with the upgrade made by SpeedART, it got another 50 HP and 96 lb-ft of torque, for a total of 550 HP and 612 lb-ft of torque.</p>
<p>The Titan BRT 550, as it&#8217;s called, also got a sport exhaust (loud or not-so-loud, depending on how customers may want), air suspension and a carbon fiber body-kit. Oh, don&#8217;t forget the 22-inch wheels and I should also mention that the tuned Cayenne Turbo will show up for Geneva Motor Show.</p>

<p> Mercedes-Benz tuner Lorinser will bring a new design to the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, next week. Based on Mercedes SL AMG roadster, the Nardo3 is named after the Italian test track and sports a 660 hp twin-turbo V12, slick aero mods, with a rear bumper with exhaust outlets and a front end that matches it. There will only be 50 copies of Nardo3 produced and there will probably be much buyers desperate to get them.</p>

The result is called Cinqueporte and it&#8217;s modified by StudioTorino and StudioM, for an unknown definitely not low price. This client has also ordered a few custom estate wagon Ferraris and the reason we say it didn&#8217;t go cheap is that he wants luxury and a StudioM&#8217;s previous project only for the interior of Maserati Quattroporte went to a whopping €350,000.</p>

<p>It seems like everybody loves Audi R8. After we presented you the <a href="http://thecarsblog.com/2008/02/20/audi-r8-receives-special-attention-from-abt" title="ABT Audi R8">R8 tuned by ABT</a>, today we bring in front of you another R8 tuned by PPI. It was presented at the Essen Motor Show last year, but now PPI made a series of changes and upgraded once more the R8.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s called Razor. The engine is a 4.2-liter FSI and it was improved with 40 HP and 26 lb-ft of torque reaching a total of 460 and 343 respectively. This powertrain drives the Razor to a top speed of 192 mph and it boosts from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds flat. Enough about the engine, let&#8217;s get to the design section. A fully carbon-fiber aero kit, larger air intakes(this is the latest fashion and everybody is doing this), black magnesium 19-inch rims and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubber.</p>

<p><strong><em>The PPI R8 and PPI R8 Razor – automobile lifestyle in carbon fibre</em></strong></p>
<p><em>With the launching of the R8, Audi heats up against rivals Porsche, Ferrari and Bentley vigorously providing stiff competition. The Swabian, German tuners PPI Automotive Design GmbH, customize Audi&#8217;s flagship sportscar by stoking up the fire with even more coal going that extra mile by providing an enhanced look combined with improved driving dynamics. A wind tunnel-tested aerodynamic kit of carbon fibre in combination with a performance enhancement and special lightweight magnesium wheels in 19-inch dimensions provides measurably improved appearance whether on the race track or the elegant promenade of the elite jet set. </em></p>
<p><strong><em>Optimised performance for better resilience and increased driving pleasure</em></strong></p>
<p><em>The stage 1 kit produces an increase power output of the original motor from 309kw/420hp to 348kw/460hp and increases torque from 430Nm/317lb-ft to 465Nm/343lbs-ft. A performance kit with durable components designed by PPI consists of corrosion resistant stainless steel sport rear muffler with throttle system. Just beginning at low-end torque, the resulting sound signals pure power, but with high speeds one experiences an even more imposing sound. Matched to this is a complete optimised engine management plus sport air filter providing the unit with extra breathing abilities. Results are a top speed of 192 mph (311 km/h) and sprinting from 0-60 mph in only 4,0 seconds; a six-tenths decrease versus standard production.</em></p>
<p><strong><em>PPI aerodynamics: continued further development in carbon fibre</em></strong></p>
<p><em>Without being overstated, PPI&#8217;s approach to the R8 was to retain the standard series design, with the addition of PPI developed aerodynamics. All PPI aerodynamics for the R8 are made of carbon fibre. This material is commonly used in motor sports reducing general weight yet simultaneously increasing sturdiness. This material is already featured in the Audi base model. PPI consequently takes a further step applying carbon fibre as the main component with highest quality for its entire car body material. Furthermore, PPI production carbon fibre parts are available in glossy or matte finish. The PPI aerodynamics package includes a lift reducing front lip spoiler. This more aggressive front air damn is designed to channel air to the front brakes, and cut through the air. In addition, the PPI designed, front bumper air intake &#8220;cartridges&#8221; were created for OEM fitting, and for improved air ventilation of the front radiator with separate air channel for brake cooling. Side sills sedate air inflow between the axles and provide this vehicle with a sporty and aggressive look even when standing still. It&#8217;s lateral appearance is completed with side blades in carbon fibre matte finish as standard production series offers carbon fibre glossy only. The diffuser with integrated PPI-designed air channels for exhaust pipe cooling stabilizes the rear with extra downforce and directional stability. The new double-sided rear grill deflects engine heat and exhaust system outwards and flanks the middle PPI rear plate. Rear spoiler with its adjustable wing increases downforce on the rear axle and completes the sporty elegant look. </em></p>
<p><strong><em>PPI MAG9: the lightweight wheel from PPI</em></strong></p>
<p><em>The new PPI MAG9 wheel design characterises the connection of high technical demands to sporty elegance. The two-part magnesium wheel with nine spokes and a wheel rim of carbon fibre commands not only by its exclusive look, but also through its outstanding craftsmanship setting new benchmark standards in the Audi tuning arena. The offered PPI MAG9 comes in dimension 9 x 19 front and 11 x 19 rear. Through the use of ultra light material magnesium resulting in reduction of unsprung mass, acceleration as well as deceleration and handling are distinctly improved. Weighing a mere 7,8 kg for front axle rims and 8,2 kg for rear axle rims, the PPI wheel are absolute champions in the lightweight arena. Optimal tires developed for the PPI R8 Razor in cooperation with Michelin are the supplied Michelin Pilot Sport Cup in dimensions 235/35 ZR19 (front) and 305/30 ZR19 (rear). </em></p>
<p><strong><em>Ideal interior engineering </em></strong></p>
<p><em>To complete the exclusive enhancements of the R8, PPI offers extensive modifications in materials and parts to the original interior. PPI offers handbrake, door entry threshold plates and middle instrument panel in carbon fibre. The technical highlight of the interior is the new PPI designed ergonomic steering wheel (available with Carbon Fibre sections) with additional interface controls for its driving dynamical program. Offered on special request is a personalized floor mat set furnished with leather trim. Also available is complete hand crafted precision leather, suede, alcantara upholstery from our in-house saddlers.</em></p>

<p>ABT Sportsline is a tuning and motor racing company but today we will talk about the tuning part. For many years ABT reworked Audi&#8217;s cars and others related with Audi.</p>
<p>If you are a fan of the R8, if you imagined what would be like to modify it yourself, you don&#8217;t have to think for long, because the German tuner made an incredible job redesigning the R8. New skirts and rear spoiler, both made of carbon-fiber, front and rear clips replaced, new angle of the front openings, new rear bumper, smaller vents and the diagonal exhaust is cream of crop for the ABT R8.</p>
<p>All these new features deserve a special tint so the tuned Audi R8 received a custom-made black color along with red shades. I have nothing more to say because the gallery below should speak for itself.</p>

<p>Hamann, a renowned German tuning company founded by Richard Hamann in 1986. They concentrate on cars like BMW, Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini, so their latest project is a BMW X5. The German Specialists named the project &#8220;Flash&#8221;.</p>
<p>Now, the SUV features new fender flares, roof spoiler, front and rear, and a special suspension as well as a new braking-system. Flash can be powered by either a 4.4-liter V8 which produces 368 HP or a 3.0sd which produces 320 HP. For both versions you will get a &#8220;powerful&#8221; exhaust which creates a sound beautiful enough to impress any audience.</p>
<p>The interior received special treatment, too &#8211; black-mat flooring, aluminum pedals and carbon fiber.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a perfect car for tuning fans, it&#8217;s not extreme but very simple and has all it needs.</p>

BMW only recently introduced its latest successor and HAMANN has already put together a complete program for the new X5. Hardly any area has been left untouched. Whether it&#8217;s suspension, wheels, performance, interior or aerodynamics, the Laupheim German specialists provide clear individualisation launching far above the norm. Wide-body-parts arrange an especially brawny appearance, making the X5 become the HAMANN &#8220;Flash&#8221;.</em><em><strong>Quite flashily-dressed</strong></em><em>New aerodynamic components are mandatory hence HAMANN begins with a new, wider front spoiler that lends the SAV X5 a significant powerful feature. In back HAMANN added a rear apron seizing the design of the front spoiler to match. Between front and rear, HAMANN adds fender extensions, which complete the wide body „Flash&#8221; looks. A further sporty accent shines through with the HAMANN roof spoiler, providing a stabilizing effect. It marks the icing on the cake of this extremely impressing &#8220;Flash&#8221;.</em><em>With such a large vehicle, every miniscule of power counts. For this reason, HAMANN reprogrammed the series-produced Motronic. The X5 3.0si received subsequently a power boost to about 14 bhp/10kW and 25 Nm more torque. The X5 3.0d (stock power: 235 bhp/173 kW) is raised by the tuners to 265 bhp/ 195 kW and 600 Nm, the X5 3.0sd (stock power: 286 bhp/210 kW) to 320 bhp / 235 kW and 660 Nm. The 8-cylinder model 4.8i jumps by 18 bhp/ 13 kW for more power and torque increase as well. </em><em><strong>Not an easy choice!</strong></em><em>Pondering over wheel choices will require the majority of customers&#8217; time. Here are four designs of choice for the &#8220;Flash&#8221; including PG3, Anniversary I and II as well as Edition Race.</em><em>The noble tuners from Laupheim present a multi-pieced wheel PG3 available in silver finish with high-polished flange. It&#8217;s characterized through the sporty five-spoke design.<br />
</em><em>The one-pieced wheel Anniversary I portrays a light footing with its&#8217; multi-spoke design. HAMANN supplies these in silver or black matt finish with INOX stainless steel lip flange. The multi-pieced light alloy wheel Anniversary II exhibits a multi-spoke design as well projecting a feeling of pure motor sports. The silver rims with high-polished flange reflects both nobility and luxury simultaneously. </em><em>The appearance of the three-piece, ultra light forged wheels Edition Race in crossing spoke design and black wheel spider is identified through its&#8217; nine main spokes double-attached, branching and continually double-crossing towards the outside rim. Its&#8217; stirring design becomes particularly noticeable through Titan studs. The high-polished flange is icing on the cake to complete this luxurious look. </em></p>
<p><em>PG3 and Anniversary I are available through HAMANN for the X5 in 20 and 22-inch, Anniversary II in 22-inch and the wheel Edition Race comes in an impressive 23-inch. Naturally HAMANN offers the wheels in form of complete wheel sets.</em></p>
<p><em>By using a set of progressive suspension springs, HAMANN reduces the center of gravity for the X5. For those vehicles that have level regulation, it is lowered to about 40 mm in front, and for vehicles without level regulation or air suspension to about 40 mm in front and about 30 mm in back. Through this, the X5 receives a bit of agility back which, in contrast to its&#8217; predecessor model, had suffered somewhat due to its bigger size. </em></p>
<p><em>The specifically developed HAMANN brake system for the front axle with slotted and ventilated brake discs sized 405&#215;34 millimetres, aluminium disc chamber, sports brake linings and steelflex brake pipes. The six-piston fixed calliper disc brakes in silver complete the system and apply a powerful grip. At the rear axle an four-piston brake system with slotted and ventilated brake discs sized 345x28mm plus the same hardware as above support the system working at the front.</em></p>
<p><em>The growling thunder matching the name „Flash&#8221; is generated by a HAMANN-exhaust system. It consists of sports headers (gas engine), sports metal catalytic converters (gas engine) and a sports rear silencer. Last mentioned can be ordered either as 2-pipe (oval, 145mm in diameter) or as 4-pipe-variant (round, 76 mm diameter) made from stainless steel.</em></p>
<p><em><strong>Interior modifications per request</strong></em></p>
<p><em>Large vehicles such as the BMW X5 are tailor-made for travel. Due to this, HAMANN also modified the interior. Travellers should have the drive be as comfortable as possible and additionally should provide a feast for the eyes. HAMANN&#8217;s accessories such as an exclusive foot mat flooring in black, a foot pedal of aluminium or even an aluminium foot rest enhance the cockpit of the X5. Naturally HAMANN also modifies each BMW X5 for personalized customer requests. <p>The Porsche 911 Turbo has been modified for years, because it is one of the best supercars in the world and it has a very attractive and modern design, which has the Porsche&#8217;s touch. The Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R is the latest upgrade for the 911 Turbo. This is the new product of Gemballa.</p>
<p>Gemballa installed a new air intake sistem which is splited into three parts. The stability and the downforce had been improved by a new vented hood which directs the oxygen over the car. The look of the car had been also improved with GT headlights and a dual-wing spoiler. The Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R features 19-inch alloy wheels covered with Yokohama AVS Sport tires. The back of the car had also been modified to make way for four exhaust tips. The 911 Turbo engine has been replaced with a bigger one of 3.8L and replaced the standard blowdryers with a pair of Garret T035 turbos. The Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R now produces 850HP and 690 ft-lbs of torque. By including adjustable springs and three-position anti-roll bars they&#8217;ve upgraded the handling.</p>
<p>We hope that the Avalanche GTR 800 EVO-R won&#8217;t be the last upgraded version of the Porsche 911 Turbo, because this kind of supercar will always enchant our eyes.<br />
